Short or long, big and cozy sweater-jacket for adults.
A quick and easy knit, this sweater is worked flat from the top down.
The button band and button holes are worked along with the body, so there is no need to pick up stitches at the end.

All right-side rows are worked as stockinette (knit stitches), whereas wrong-side rows have a mixture of garter and stockinette (some purls, some knits).
After the neckline ribbing you can choose to knit a few short rows to lengthen the back of the neck. I prefer how the sweater looks with the taller back, but if you find the short rows to be too finicky or unnecessary they can easily be skipped.

Yarn:
Filcolana Peruvian and Tilia Mohair – 1 strand each.
Biches & Buches Le Gros and Le Petit – 1 strand each.
Sandnes Kos, Gepard Puno, or similarly light and soft bulky yarn. You can also choose another yarn of your choosing, with appropriate needle to reach gauge.
I recommend a lighter yarn, so the sweater does not become too heavy.

Materials:
Double-pointed and circular needles: 4.5 mm (US7) and 6.00 mm (US10). 6 – 10 buttons.
Stitch markers.
Tapestry needle and scissors.

Yarn amounts:
Approx. 400 (550) g Peruvian/Le Gros and 125 (150) g Tilia/Le Petit. Or approx. 900 – 1200 m for the short sweater.
Approx. 600 (700) g Peruvian/Le Gros and 150 (200) g Tilia/Le Petit. Or approx. 1300 – 1600 m for the long sweater.

Gauge:
16 stitches = 10 cm in stockinette stitch with size 6.00 mm (US10). Be sure to do a gauge swatch.

Sizes:
XS/S/M (M/L/X). Note: Although this pattern only states two sizes, the
sizing on this sweater is very easy to play with and adjust to your liking.
As this sweater is knit from the top to bottom, I encourage you to often try it on, take measurements, and make changes as they suit you.
